A piece created specifically for you, your story, and the space it will call home. Commissioning a work is a collaborative and deeply personal process. Each piece is created from scratch, bringing together your space, aesthetic, memories, references, and the feeling you want the work to carry.
The goal is not simply to create something that fits a wall, but to make a piece that feels connected to your space, your experiences, and your story.
Your commission is shaped around the space it will inhabit and the things that matter to you. Color, architecture, memories, music, photographs, materials, places and personal references can all become part of the creative language of the piece.
Pricing scales with the size and complexity of the piece. Typical timeline: 2 to 6 weeks.
You do not need to arrive with the entire piece figured out. The process is designed to shape the direction together.
01 You reach out
Start by filling out the Commission Inquiry Form below. You will be asked for a few initial details about the project, including approximate size, timeline, budget, and anything you already have in mind.

02 You tell me what you're looking for
Once I receive your inquiry, we will connect to talk through your vision and begin shaping the direction of the piece together. References can come from anywhere: music, films, places, memories, photographs, architecture, nature, color, or simply a feeling you want the work to carry.
The more personal, the better.
03 I create your moodboard
After our conversation, I will create a custom moodboard and creative direction for your commission. This brings together the palette, textures, references, materials, and overall feeling we discussed so we have a shared visual language before I begin.
You will review and approve the direction before the commission moves into the studio.
04 You reserve your spot
Once the creative direction, dimensions, pricing and estimated timeline are approved, a 50% deposit reserves your commission and allows work to begin.
Materials purchased specifically for your piece are billed separately and reimbursed at cost with receipts. Once the deposit is received, your piece officially enters my studio schedule.
05 I paint your piece
This is where I take everything we have discussed and translate it into the finished work. Each commission is created intuitively by hand, using our approved creative direction as the foundation while still allowing space for the piece to evolve organically throughout the process.
Before beginning, you will receive an estimated completion window based on the scale, materials, complexity of the work, and my current studio schedule.
06 You approve the finished piece
Once the piece is complete, I will share detailed photographs and video of the finished artwork for final approval. At this stage, the remaining 50% balance is due.
Once final payment has been received, we will prepare the work for pickup, delivery, or shipping.
07 I get it to you
For NYC clients, local pickup can be arranged from my studio or I can coordinate a local courier depending on your location and the size of the piece.
Shipping outside NYC is billed separately at cost. Larger works may be carefully removed from their stretcher bars and shipped rolled to reduce the risk and cost associated with transporting oversized artwork.

These works will typically be removed from their stretcher bars and shipped safely rolled. The artwork will then need to be professionally re-stretched upon arrival.
If you do not already have a trusted framer, I am happy to help source a reputable local framing professional in your area who can stretch and frame the work for you.
All shipping and project-specific material costs are reimbursed separately, with receipts provided.
